Onboarding process for new guest dogs
We undergo a staged process to onboard new dogs. This is to make sure that our home is right for your dog and to give your dog time to adjust to our environment. All new dogs must complete this process before they are accepted.

Stage 1
First meeting - on a walk
We will meet in a neutral environment and go for a short walk. This allows Pepper (and any other guest dogs staying) to meet your dog. It allows us to check that the dogs get along and also have a longer 'chat' about you and your dog. If this goes well we move to stage 2.
Stage 2
Forms and records

I'll send you my Terms and Conditions alongside a pet information form. This form provides me with all the details I need about your dog, as well as the 'approvals' required from you for me to care for your dog as a licensed premises. It also gives me your details, emergency contact details, insurance details and vet details. Once the forms are filled in and you have sent me proof of vaccination details we move to stage 3.

Stage 3
Home Visit
This is where you visit my home, with your dog. Visits usually last about an hour. It's an opportunity for your dog to start to familiarise themselves with my home environment and for you to ensure you are happy we are right for your dog. If this goes well we move to stage 4.
Stage 4
Trail stay
This is a paid for trial stay. A day care stay for day care, and an over night trial if you also require home boarding. In order to help your dog familiarise themselves with our home and to make sure they setlle well without you here. If this goes well your dog is accepted into our home.
