YAP stands for Yvonne And Pepper. I'm Yvonne and Pepper is my Cockapoo. We have been together for 3 years and she is my daemon as she teaches me kindness, patience, fun, and unconditional love every day. The idea for YAP Home Boarding started when I was contemplating going back to the office after COVID-19. During a period of reflection and questioning what I love most in life Pepper gave me the answer I was searching for - dogs. ​

At YAP Home Boarding we provide both day-care and home boarding for small and medium size dogs who are known for their anti-allergy properties (e.g. non-shedding/poodle mixes). We only care for this type of breed as my partner can react to other breeds. ​

As I only take up to 3 additional dogs at a time you can be assured your dog is well cared for and gets lots of attention. This does mean my spaces are limited (and regular dogs get priority) so early booking for occasional stays is advised.

YAP Home Boarding was licensed in Spring 2024.

About me
Level 3 Ofqual qualified in Canine Care
In order to fully understand a dog's needs and provide the best care possible I'm qualified in canine care. Listening to podcasts and learning about dog care are now a part of my daily routine. I'm passionate about reward based, kind training and understanding the world from our four legged friends perspective to gain insight into what's driving their behaviour (both desired and not so desired).

My degree is in Psychology and my first career was Human Resources. For over 25 years I enjoyed helping people in the workplace, I now enjoy helping dogs have their best life.
